One of my favorite spots for Family or Maternity Sessions is Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey.  If you love the NYC skyline, this location is perfect for you!

Aside from the beautiful view, Liberty State Park offers a variety of spots to use as your background.  There is the skyline of course, trains (perfect for little ones in the choo-choo obsessed phase), cobblestone, brick buildings, walking paths, grassy areas and a small garden during the warmer months.

Out of my list of locations to choose from, Liberty State Park is one of the options that are best going to during the week.  It is a very popular choice for photographers and can be overwhelming for a Saturday session.  Picture this... one limo is there filled with a bridal party from a wedding venue nearby, another set of bridesmaids and groomsmen are there for the wedding at the on-site venue Maritime Parc or the Liberty House on top of all of the people taking the ferry to visit Elis Island.  This chaos also makes it harder to find free parking.  So, with that being said... I like to recommend having your session here during the week!  Any stress I can eliminate from your session day, I will do :)

A bonus point for Liberty State Park is on a beautiful day, Mister Softee is parked for you to enjoy after your session!  There's nothing like a soft serve vanilla with rainbow sprinkles!
