When we talk about milestones and photography.. we mainly think of your pregnancies, newborns and first birthdays.  But, some families celebrate different kinds of milestones.  Like, Heartiversaries!

What is a Heartiversary?

From Google:  It's a term used to mark the anniversary of a cardiac surgery or heart transplant, celebrating the patient's "second chance at life".

It's a beautiful way to celebrate the milestone many families have to overcome!  The bravery, strength and love these families carry is inspiring and beautiful.

I am humbled to have photograph this gorgeous girl's first and now second Heartiverasry!  She was such a joy and so sweet with the cutest little head tilt when she smiled.  We lucked out with a warm day this past March and met at Kingsland Manor in Nutley, NJ.  Side note - this is a favorite location of mine that offers great backdrops.. especially in the Fall with the foliage and Spring for their row of Cherry Blossoms!
