Senior photography has become a new favorite of mine. It's a fun way to celebrate your child's exciting milestone! Whether they are heading off to high school, college or the "real world", these shoots make for a memorable time in their life!
Depending on what grade they are graduating from, the location will vary. Most college graduates want to have their session on campus. I've photographed seniors at William Paterson University, Seton Hall and Montclair State University. Let's go NJ! As for 8th graders or high school seniors, we have gone pretty much anywhere that interests them! A lake house, the Newark Public Library or even a local botanical garden. Location to me, truly doesn't matter. As long as it means something to you then it will be the perfect spot.
I'm generally a family and newborn photographer.. photographing dynamics of a family. I absolutely love doing that! But, what's special about Senior photos is giving your daughter or son time just for theirself. Giving them time to shine and soak in this special moment. Growing up is scary.. being 34, I can remember all too well the anxious feeling of moving forward into the unknown. In the moment we rarely realize how great we are doing with all of life's challenges as a teenager and young adult. So, let's give them a reminder of how amazing they are and all the exciting things to come with an unforgettable photoshoot.
