What is a "Bump to Baby" session?

A Bump to Baby session is a combo of a Maternity and Newborn session.  It's a beautiful way to highlight this exciting milestone in your family's lives!

Who is included in a Bump to Baby session?

Whoever is in your immediate family!  If you and your partner are just starting your family, the two of you would be in the Bump Session along with the Newborn Session.  Does your newborn baby have a big brother or sister?  They'll be included, too!  And pets are always welcome :)

When is the best time to schedule your Bump Session?

I recommend during the end of your 7th month of pregnancy or the beginning of your 8th month that way your belly is nice and round and in the most flattering way.. big! :)  Having your session too early can be difficult because your growing belly can be hidden depending on what you wear and the whole point is to see your beautiful, pregnant belly, mamas!

When is the best time to schedule your Newborn Session?

We typically put a date on the calendar one to two weeks after your due date and leave room for adjustments if needed once he or she makes their debut.  I love to have these sessions done in that time frame because that's when your baby is still so squishy and brand new.  However, there are time when parents aren't ready to jump into photos that soon and we wait a little longer, like a month if necessary!

Where does my "Bump" session take place?

Maternity Sessions take place at an outdoor location in and around Bergen County, Essex County and Passaic County New Jersey during Golden Hour.  Golden Hour is about an hour before sunset (or sunrise if you're up to it!).  If you're a beach person, let's go down the shore!

Where does my "Baby" session take place?

Your Newborn Session takes place in the comfort of your own home!  The place where you feel most at ease and everything is accessible :)

What are my favorite things about photographing "Bump to Baby" sessions?

During your Maternity Session.. AKA the Bump session, it's always fun to see how giddy parents are while anticipating their new baby.

At your Newborn Session all those nervous feelings about being in front of the camera are gone because we developed a relationship the month or two before this session!  So, it's only smooth sailing from there :)
